
AT&T is expected to announce Monday plans to roll out ultra-fast Internet service — also known as gigabit Internet — in Atlanta.
The wireless carrier will initially launch gigabit Internet to subscribers of AT&T's U-verse television service in the City of Atlanta and Sandy Springs, a source said.
Later, AT&T will expand the service to Decatur and Newnan. Pricing details on the service, which is up to 100 times faster than basic broadband, is expected to be revealed at a press conference Monday.
