Gov. Deal signs dual enrollment measures

Gov. Nathan Deal signed two bills Thursday aimed at bridging the gap between K-12 and post-secondary education in Georgia. Under Senate Bill 2, students who have completed the ninth and 10th grade coursework requirements will be able to enroll in one of the state’s public universities or technical colleges and work toward a degree or certificate while continuing to pursue a high-school diploma.
