Peachtree City votes down proposed 38-acre water park resort

Peachtree City officials voted Thursday against allowing a company to build a 38-acre water park resort in the city south of Atlanta. Residents argued the proposed park is “out of character” for the area, reports Atlanta Business Chronicle broadcast partner WXIA-TV. After the vote, Kim Schaffer, CEO of developer Great Wolf Lodge, which hoped to develop the park, said the company is disappointed.
