
Georgia’s tax haul for April 2015 rose 15 percent as individual income tax collections jumped by $190.8 million, the Georgia Department of Revenue reported.
The state took in $1.93 billion in tax revenue in April, including $1.05 billion in individual income tax (up 22 percent), $504.3 million in sales tax revenue (up 7.4 percent) and $106.5 million in corporate income tax (down 1.1 percent).
Year to date through April, Georgia’s tax revenue was up 7.1 percent to $15.8 billion.
