Georgia lawmakers to take up sweeping tax overhaul

A bill reducing Georgia's income tax while raising the sales tax was introduced Monday in the state House of Representatives. The most far-reaching tax reform legislation lawmakers have undertaken in three years would drop the state income tax from 6 percent to 4 percent during a three-year period starting in 2016. Georgia's sales tax would increase from 4 percent to 5 percent, effective Jan. 1, 2017. The legislation also would charge sales taxes on groceries in Georgia for the first time in decades…

Nurse indicted on charges of health care fraud, identity theft

A federal grand jury has indicted a Stone Mountain wellness nurse on charges of health care fraud and identity theft. Prosecutors say that between May 2013 and September 2014 Daphne Patterson billed five health insurance companies, including UnitedHealthcare and Aetna, for more than $2.2 million in services she never performed, reports WABE. LSU sweeps Baseball and other links

The Baseball team got an early test this season by taking on LSU in Baton Rouge. It wasn't pretty. The Tigers swept the series and BC's bats never heated up. The team has a few days off before taking on Nebraska-Omaha Friday night in Florida.

Future Baseball Eagle Dominic Hardaway is putting in long days getting ready for college baseball.

Softball had a great weekend and improved to 11-3 on the season.

Women's Basketball lost to Florida State.

We know about the guys who committed this weekend, but here are some of the other guys who visited campus this weekend.
